Nothing draws in huge reality TV rating numbers like wedding specials which is why they have become so common in the reality TV genre. After all, there are entire shows dedicated to watching non-celebrities get married on TV. However, the biggest draw still seems to be when reality tv celebrities get married on their own shows

Unfortunately, just because their big day is captured and immortalized on television doesn't always mean their marriage will be. Just like marriages don't work in real life, they occasionally don't work on reality TV either leading to many reality tv celebs filing for divorce later on in life.

10 Kim Kardashian & Kanye West

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to on-screen weddings nor is she a stranger to the world of divorce. After getting engaged on Keeping Up With The Kardashians to Kanye West, Kardashian was certain West was her happily ever after.

The two wed in a lavish ceremony that was captured for the series and watched by millions. Unfortunately, Kardashian is not getting her happily ever after as the two have filed for divorce earlier this year.

9 Jessica Simpson & Nick Lachey

While Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey weren't reality stars when they got married that didn't stop them from allowing their wedding to be filmed for television. In fact, the entire wedding was broadcast on VH1's All Access Celebrity Weddings series.

Simpson and Lachey then landed their own reality show titled Newlyweds which followed the couple through their first year of marriage. Unfortunately, the strain of having cameras following them around didn't help their marriage and the two eventually divorced in November 2005.

8 Porsha Williams & Kordell Stewart

Porsha Williams became a memorable reality TV star when she joined the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta during the show's fifth season. However, RHOA wasn't her first reality series attempt and instead appeared on the series Platinum Weddings which captured her dream wedding to NFL player Kordell Stewart.

While the Real Housewives of Atlanta cameras might not have covered their wedding, it certainly covered their tumultuous divorce that left Williams devastated but helped her stay on the series because of the drama.

7 Leah Messer & Corey Simms

Leah Messer got bit by the reality TV bug at a young age when she became appeared on the second season of  MTV's 16 & Pregnant docuseries. She then landed on the second spin-off Teen Mom 2 which she continues to appear on.

Even more unfortunate, but Messer then married Jeremy Calvert on air only for that relationship to end in divorce as well.

6 Mama June & Sugar Bear

After appearing on TLC's controversial Toddlers & Tiaras and becoming a fan favorite Honey Boo Boo and her family landed their own reality tv show called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

After over a decade of being together, Alana convinced her parents Mama June and Sugar Bear to finally tie the not. The unconventional wedding was captured for the show and included Mama June in an interesting camouflage dress. Unfortunately, these two eventually divorced for a variety of reasons.

5 Jon & Kate Gosselin

TLC might like to consider themselves the "family change" but they also don't have a great rate of couples staying together who appear on the network. Jon and Kate Gosselin were another TLC couple to fall victim to the divorce club.

While the couple was already married prior to landing their hit reality series, they did renew their vows in Hawaii while cameras filmed. Unfortunately, the vow renewal didn't last long and the couple eventually divorced and landed themselves in a heated custody battle.

4 Bethenny Frankel & Jason Hoppy

Bethenny Frankel has had a long and successful career in the reality tv world; unfortunately the same can not be said for her marriage. After appearing on The Real Housewives of New York and getting engaged, Frankel and her then-fiance Jason Hoppy landed their own reality spin-off special called Bethenny Getting Married.

The special chronicled the couple's wedding and then earned them another spin-off Bravo series. Unfortunately, keeping the cameras around did not make their marriage any easier and the two eventually engaged in a heated and ugly divorce.

3 Dave Navarro & Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra may not be known as a reality tv darling like some of the other women who have been married on tv, but that didn't stop her from letting cameras film her unconventional and gothic wedding to Dave Navarro.

The nuptials were filmed for MTV's 'Til Death Do Us Part, a mini-series that followed Navarro and Electra's relationship from engagement to the wedding day. Unfortunately, these two did not withstand the test of time and divorced in 2007 after a year of separation.

2 Kailyn Lowry & Javi Marroquin

After allowing MTV cameras to film the birth of her first child, it was an easy decision for Kailyn Lowry to continue to let cameras follow her around and document her life on Teen Mom 2. In doing so, the series captured Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin's relationship through all the highs and lows.

After becoming pregnant, the two decide to tie the knot and got married during the fifth season of the show. Things weren't always easy and the couple eventually landed on the reality show Marriage Bootcamp in the hopes of saving their relationship but is as a lost cause.

1 Khloe Kardashian & Lamar Odom

Kim Kardashian isn't the only Kardashian to have her wedding(s) captured by The Keeping Up With The Kardashians camera crew. In fact, Khloe Kardashian did it first.

During season four of the show, Kardashian said "I Do" to NBA star Lamar Odom in an over-the-top fairytale wedding after only being engaged for nine days. The couple swore it was love and while it did work for several years, they eventually called it quits.
